If you want gain control and an onboard IR illuminator without a cluttered control layout, this is the one.

Everything runs through a single knob, laid out much like the L3Harris PVS-31A. Turn it to adjust gain as the light changes. Double-tap it to switch on the IR illuminator; an indicator in the eyepiece tells you it’s on, and the same knob then adjusts IR brightness. It quickly becomes second nature.

The optic pods are modular and can be converted to the Nocturn Talon monocular platform, so your Raptor and a Talon can share parts as your kit grows. Each pod switches off when flipped up, which helps the single CR123A go further, and there’s a LEMO 00B port for an external battery pack on longer outings.

Who it’s for

Anyone who wants manual gain and onboard IR in a simple, single-knob binocular

Talon users looking to move to a binocular that shares the same platform

Users already familiar with PVS-31A-style controls

KEY FEATURES

Single-knob control, similar to the PVS-31A

Manual gain adjustment

Onboard IR illuminator with an in-eyepiece indicator and adjustable brightness

Modular optic pods, convertible to the Talon platform

Automatic pod shut-off when flipped up

Tool-free IPD adjustment knobs

Accepts MX-11769 and MX-10160 tubes

CR123A onboard power, with a LEMO 00B port for external power

Carbon-fibre-reinforced composite, comparable in strength to 6061-T6 aluminium

IP68 sealed and MIL-STD-810H impact rated

SPECIFICATIONS

Material

Injection-moulded carbon-fibre-reinforced polymer

Weight

560 g

Tube compatibility

MX-11769 or MX-10160 (manual gain requires MX-11769 MGC tubes)

Interpupillary adjustment

Tool-free IPD knobs

Power

1 × CR123A; external pack via LEMO 00B

Runtime

26+ hours

Individual pod power-off

Yes

Waterproof

IP68, to 1.5 m

Impact rating

MIL-STD-810H

Mount

Dovetail

IR illuminator

Yes, built in

IN THE BOX: Raptor housing, D-Collars light pipes and lock rings. Tubes and optics not included.

COMPLETE SYSTEMS: We can build your Raptor with your choice of tubes, assembled and tested in the UK. See the Raptor binocular →

WARRANTY: Nocturn Industries lifetime housing warranty, plus the NoxWorks Warranty.
