UNVB-SC “Raptor” | Nocturn Industries
The Nocturn Industries Raptor is a full-featured binocular night vision goggle (NVG) system designed for durability, simplicity, and reliable performance. It uses a single-knob control layout, similar to the L3Harris PVS-31A, allowing users to easily adjust settings while operating in the field. The housing is constructed from carbon-fibre reinforced thermoplastic composite, providing strength comparable to 6061-T6 aluminium while keeping overall weight low.
Controls are designed to be straightforward and intuitive. A double-tap activates the onboard IR illuminator, with a status indicator visible inside the eyepiece. While the illuminator is active, its brightness can be adjusted, and when it is off the same control allows users to adjust image intensifier gain to match changing light conditions.
A key feature of the Raptor is its modular optic pods, which can be removed and converted into the **Nocturn Industries Talon monocular platform. The system provides over 20 hours of onboard runtime, with automatic pod shut-off when articulated upward to conserve battery life. For extended use, external power can be connected through an integrated 00B LEMO port
Each unit is professionally assembled and tested using a Hoffman ANV‑126A Night Vision Test Set, with a comprehensive performance test report supplied with every device. We are currently the only night vision retailer within the UK offering systems built on a Hoffman.
