DEVICE OVERVIEW:
The RPNVG. If there's a set of devices you could trust to dropped from a plane and have it survive... anything AB is the number one pick. (Yes they have done this).
Focusing on increasing the operators situational awareness, the RPNVG offers a unique and innovative bridge capable of expanding the standard 40°FOV out to 65°FOV. putting this into perspective 25° sounds rather modest, however this is a 47.62% increase in view area, this noticably minimizes the amount you need to keep your head on a swivel to get the full picture.
In typical AB fashion the RPNVG is constructed from 7075T6 Aluminium, with all the points of articulation being generously 'beefed' up to improve impact resistance, resulting in the most robust panning housing on the market.
Controls - The RPNVG is controlled via two buttons, one On/Off button and one to toggle the IR illuminator. Similar to all other AB Devices the push buttons are 'fenced' to prevent accidental activations and IR ND's
