A New Era Of Battery Packs
A night vision device sitting out in front of your helmet always wants to tip you forward. The Steele NVBP sorts out both the balance and the battery life in one simple pack. Mounted on the back of the helmet, it gives your device far more runtime than its onboard battery alone, and works as a counterweight to balance the load across your head.
It’s deliberately simple: two CR123 batteries, a machined housing, a Velcro back and a single cable. There are no settings and no switches; fit it once and forget about it. If you need more counterbalance, Steele’s optional weighted plates stack onto the pack, about 40 g each, so you can fine-tune the balance to your setup.
Who it’s for
- Binocular users who want longer runtime than the onboard battery offers
- Anyone whose helmet feels front-heavy over a long night
- Users of Nighthawk, PVS-31A, BNVD-1531, RPNVG, Katana and similar devices with an external power port
